“Do you see yourselves in books?”

“No, the girls are always skinny and pretty and perfect.”

“People in books are so athletic. They can do 14 things. I can’t do that stuff!”

“I have to ignore a lot of stuff so I can put myself in the story.”

“Yeah, sometimes. But really I want to learn about other people and places.”

 

“Where’s the bathroom?”

“Turn left at the fridge!”

 

Can’t ask for a better host school, or hostess. Cathy Hicks-Brooks is awesome, and I would pay real money to have her energy! My student helper Danielle is also wonderful.
