I have always wanted a hammock. Like, totally, obsessively wanted one. Years ago, I looked into them, but the cost of a good hammock was prohibitive. When we moved to the Cabin in the Woods in 2008, my hammock dreams returned with a vengeance, and for Christmas this year, Darling made my dream come true.
Even better, it’s a luxurious model, able to hold two people, or one writer + computer + cat + curious peacock + miscellaneous insects + giant slobbery dog. My hammock can be secured to trees, posts, or to its wonderful and easily portable frame. In other words, I can move the hammock all over our porch, or anywhere in the forest clearing we call home.
I plan to systematically view my little world from this perfect hammock, and I’ll share! We’ll call the first view pleeeeeaaaassseee let it be spring soon, and the second–YAY IT’S FINALLY WARM ENOUGH THAT MY TONGUE WON”T STICK TO THE FRAME POLES!
